Thought - Focus shift

Its really amazing how our mind works!

You pin your hopes on something and,

Crave for it despite being aware

'It aint gonna happen';

A few moments of the past hurt you bad,

And so does their souvenirs;

Agony and frustration slowly seep into

Your mind and your vision gets blurred;

You try your level best to stay focussed,

But fail miserably and stare at yourself

In the mirror, to raise your spirit that's

Lying listless having hit Rock bottom.

When you're searching for an answer and

Ofcourse not any answer but the right one;

One fine moment you hear a meaningful advice

And you try to figure out 'Who's speaking?',

But you care not to give it a thought and,

Acccept it with all your will power;

Suddenly to your surprise you feel light

At heart and nothing bothers you as much

As it used to;

You like being the new "YOU";

Living every moment as if its the last;

Smiling everytime paying deaf ear to past;

Helping everyone hoping they'll revert back;

Even if they don't you dislike to step back;

You start respecting the new "YOU"

One day you think about the advice that

Clearly changed your life;

You wonder how such a complex situation

Faded so simply with such ease!

Many questions flash your mind:

'Who gave the advice?';

'Why was it given at that moment only?'

'Why hasn't it been given earlier?'

'Would it have the same impact if given earlier?'

'Why did I take it?'

'Why it it work so well?'

......and so on;

You finally feel these questions make

No sense now, nor do they add any value;

Finally, you stare at the same mirror,

Smirk and retain only the advice letting

Go of all thoughts that pondered around;

You just remember the advice, 'FOCUS SHIFT'!

And, It's still amazing how our mind works!
